OUR STORY
The History of Our Station
The WIGO as we know it today began January 2005 when an African American owned group acquired operating rights to the station. Then in 2006 they purchased it. The station's call letters were changed to WIGO, reviving a designation that had been used for decades at 1340 AM, the first 24-hour R&B music station in the city * Our station was then purchased in MAY 2022 by Vision Multi Media Group, LLC. led by Mrs. Sheila L. Brown.

Sheila L. Brown, Manager and Principal Owner of Vision Multi Media Group, LLC. She is a visionary leader, three-time author, and CEO of a qualified Woman Business Enterprise(WBE) since 2007.
